NEW KEEPERS OF THE WATER TOWERS Signs With LISTENABLE RECORDS

February 17, 2011

Swedish stoner metal band NEW KEEPERS OF THE WATER TOWERS has inked a deal with Listenable Records. The group is currently in the studio recordings its third album for a 2011 release. According to a press release, the new NEW KEEPERS OF THE WATER TOWERS maerial is "a collision between the heaviest of metal and the firmest of rock. Wrapped up with the lyrical themes of dwelling beasts and filthy creatures, the sound can only be described as massive!"

In 2006, guitarist and vocalist Rasmus Booberg and drummer Tor Sjödén started writing music inspired by the Swedish doom and stoner scene. Over time the duo evolved into the group known today as NEW KEEPERS OF THE WATER TOWERS, adding guitarist Victor Berg and, later on, bassist Robin Holmberg to the lineup. Their music has ever since their first EP been sliding towards a more progressive and wider sound, with influences from the first wave of progressive rock as well as the modern day prog rock and metal scene.

NEW KEEPERS OF THE WATER TOWERS is:

Rasmus - Guitar, lead vocals
Tor - Drums
Vic - Guitar
Robin - Bass guitar
